RETTEW Welcomes DiMagno as Director of Environmental Engineering

Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, recently welcomed Serena A. DiMagno as director of environmental engineering.

As director of environmental engineering services at RETTEW, DiMagno is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the environmental engineering group while also providing coaching and mentoring to the service area staff. Collectively, the group provides infiltration and inflow analysis; nutrient reduction; permitting and compliance; pretreatment design/evaluation; rate studies and tapping fees; wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment; water supply treatment and distribution; air quality; and acid mine drainage remediation.

In her role as director, DiMagno also leads the department’s efforts in business development, client relationship management and marketing. Additionally, she works with RETTEW’s vice president of environmental engineering services to develop the department’s strategic plan, ensuring that it aligns with RETTEW’s overall goals relating to revenue and continued market growth.

DiMagno comes to RETTEW with more than 38 years of experience in water and wastewater system investigation, design, operations and treatment, management, regulatory negotiation, permitting and compliance. DiMagno has also prepared environmental and community impact statements and conducted feasibility studies.

DiMagno has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Chatham University. She is a member of the American Water Works Association, the Pennsylvania Water Utility Council, the Water Works Operator’s Association of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association, the Central Pennsylvania Water Quality Association, the Eastern Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association and the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association. DiMagno resides in Hershey, Dauphin County, Pa.
