Reston, VA, Sept.21, 2011 – Wiser Company, LLC (Wiser) announced today that Scott Van Dermark has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Business Development.
In this role, Mr. Van Dermark will lead Wiser’s business development team’s efforts in furthering the company’s strategic growth and development within the Intelligence & Security Services, Information Technology Solutions, and Infrastructure Engineering markets.
Mr. Van Dermark most recently served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Fugro EarthData, Inc., an international geospatial engineering firm where he directed all sales, marketing, and business development activities within the U.S. geospatial market.
He brings over 23 years of geospatial business experience in the field of airborne and satellite remote sensing and is an expert in the application of electro-optical imaging, laser, and radar technologies in support of survey and mapping operations.
Mr. Van Dermark’s other professional experience includes over 14 years of military service with the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence and targeting analyst serving in various joint services roles within the U.S. Intelligence and Special Operations Community. His post-military career includes work with a number of nationwide civil engineering, software development, and aerial survey companies, managing the strategic capture and operational management of several large federal geospatial services contracts with: USGS, NOAA, USACE, USDA, and various U.S. Defense and Intelligence agencies. Mr. Van Dermark attended the Community College of the Air Force, Joint Military Intelligence College, and Defense Mapping School and holds multiple certificates in intelligence and counterterrorism analysis.
