Topcon’s RL-H4C Laser Available with Power Options

Livermore, Calif. – June 17, 2011 – Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) announced that its recently introduced RL-H4C construction laser is available in two versions – one version powered by a NiMH rechargeable battery pack and the other powered with alkaline ‘D’ cell batteries. The rechargeable version can also be operated with AC power.

In field tests, the RL-H4C gets more than 100 hours of continuous usage with alkaline batteries and up to 60 hours on a single charge.

Tony Vanneman, TPS construction products marketing manager, said, “The RL-H4C is equipped with the longest battery life in its class and is packed with features contractors depend on. It has a powerful working range with an accuracy of ±10 arc seconds.”

The new laser also comes with a slope matching function and an IP66 dust/water protection rating.

Vanneman said, “Its high-power 2.4 mW diode means the contractor has a 2,600ft. (800m) diameter working radius making it a great reference for machine mounted receivers.”

The RL-H4C is covered by a five-year guarantee for all Topcon manufactured laser products.

“Contractors want to protect the investment they make in equipment,” Vanneman said. “The industry-leading guarantee is a way Topcon can demonstrate our commitment to the long-term equipment performance needs of our customers.

“Topcon has long set the standard in the construction laser market, and that standard continues with the RL-H4C.”
