Pacific Crest Announces New High-Power Advanced Data Link for Field Communications

High-Power, Wireless Data Link Provides Precise Positioning and Maximizes Productivity

Sunnyvale, California, June 9, 2011– Pacific Crest today introduced the new ADL Vantage Pro, an advanced, high-speed, wireless data link built to survive the rigors of GNSS/RTK surveying and precise positioning. The ADL Vantage Pro provides high accuracy and application flexibility with more features and options than previously offered by Pacific Crest professional-grade radio links.

The ADL Vantage Pro joins the rapidly growing line of Advanced Data Link (ADL) products that includes: the ADL Vantage, a 4-Watt programmable UHF radio for survey applications; the ADL Sentry, a 4-Watt radio for remote sensing and monitoring environments; the ADL Foundation, a transceiver OEM board; and the ADL RXO, a receive-only OEM board.

“Consistent high power and greater functionality allow our customers to rapidly and cost-effectively deploy the ADL Vantage Pro in their applications,” said John Cameron, general manager for Pacific Crest. “With the addition of the ADL Vantage Pro, we have introduced a rugged and reliable line of digital radios that work in difficult terrains and streamline operations for maximum productivity.”

This sophisticated 2 – 35 Watt (user programmable) radio transceiver uses Pacific Crest’s next generation ADL technology while remaining backward compatible with existing Pacific Crest, Trimble and other GNSS/RTK positioning products. ADL Vantage Pro’s 35 Watts of power maximizes range, enabling work in difficult terrain and urban areas. Its full-function user interface enables field programmability and troubleshooting so users can maintain maximum productivity.

The ADL Vantage Pro is available in two 40 MHz frequency bands (390-430 and 430-473 MHz) to cover the entire commercial UHF band without sacrificing radio performance. It also allows the user to select from available channel tables in either 12.5 or 25 kHz channel bandwidth for communications that are fully compliant with the latest regulations. This high-power radio comes with a new radio protocol offering 9600 bps in a 12.5 kHz channel without loss of range.

Availability
The ADL Vantage Pro from Pacific Crest is available now through its international network of authorized dealers.
