GITA Announces First Edition of E-Newsletter

Aurora, Colorado, March 9, 2011: GITA announces an exciting new resource for the geospatial industry: the GITA News Hub. This free, electronic newsletter is dedicated to keeping geospatial professionals everywhere up to date on GITA activities, important technology developments, evolving industry trends, announcements of new products and services, and more.

The GITA News Hub will be a timely resource for a rapidly evolving geospatial industry that will be e-mailed to subscribers on a weekly basis. In the future, new sections will be added that will provide GITA Members a broader and deeper resource of reports, presentations, white papers and other benefits. The basic GITA News Hub will always be available to anyone anywhere who is interested in learning more about geospatial technology and how it is changing the world.

“Late last summer I posted a video that told our members and constituents we were going to change the way that GITA does business in the future. A lot has been accomplished since then. We know that GITA needs to be a competent, credible and comprehensive resource to continue to be relevant to geospatial professionals. Our 2011 Geospatial Solutions Conference in Grapevine on April 10-13 speaks directly to that relevance. The GITA News Hub will extend that commitment on a weekly basis throughout the year. Our aim is to provide the best, most useful and relevant information possible,” said GITA’s Executive Director, Bob Samborski.

The first issue of the GITA News Hub will be sent to GITA’s database out on April 5. Not sure you are included? Contact Lisa Connor at lconnor@gita.org.
