GeoSpatial Experts Hires Director to Expand Partner Network

Thornton, Colorado, USA, 1 March 2011 – GeoSpatial Experts, developer of the first photo-mapping software package, has named John Clark as its new Director of Business Development. Clark will expand and manage the GeoSpatial Experts Business Partner Program, which includes an international network of GPS-Photo Link software resellers and system integrators.

Bringing a strong background in sales channel management, Clark will work with GeoSpatial Experts partners to identify opportunities in key markets where the industry-leading photo-mapping software can provide an advantage to end users in business and professional mapping applications.

“GPS-Photo Link software provides the foundation for business-critical, even mission-critical, solutions for a wide spectrum of public and private-sector organizations,” said Clark. “My goal is to equip our partners with the understanding, skills and go-to-market tools that win sales based on the delivery of imaginative geo-imaging solutions.”

Clark will ensure each partner has a solid understanding of how GPS-Photo Link software fits into, enhances and differentiates each end-user sales proposal. He will be implementing a variety of activities designed to accelerate partner success – including product education, sales training, and opportunity recognition instruction.

“John Clark brings 20 years of business development and marketing experience to his new position,” said GeoSpatial Experts CEO Rick Bobbitt. “His impressive track record of building successful sales channels and partner programs for other leading software developers – such as Unidata and NEON/Sybase – makes him a great fit for us.”

Celebrating its 10th year in business, GeoSpatial Experts became the first commercial developer of photo-mapping software with the release of GPS-Photo Link in 2001. Now available in Version 5.0, GPS-Photo Link has become the industry standard software for geotagging and photo mapping applications.

Photomapping applications now span the full spectrum of mainstream business users whose jobs require accurate photographic documentation of objects and features at a specific place and time. These applications include disaster response, real property management, infrastructure assessment, zoning, code inspection, asset management, engineering, land management, surveying, utility mapping and law enforcement.

The GPS-Photo Link 5.0 software enables photographers to accurately map the locations of photos taken either with a standard digital camera and separate hand-held GPS receiver, or with one of the many integrated GPS cameras that GeoSpatial Experts carries. The software correlates each photo with its GPS coordinates and maps the photo on a digital mapping website such as Google Earth or on a map layer in a GIS such as ESRI ArcGIS. Users are able to display any attribute information collected during photo capture or add attribute data during processing to create customizable watermarked photos, word reports or html reports. The geotagged photos, data, and maps can then easily be shared between organizations.
