Juniper Systems Announces Shipment of the Mesa Geo 3G Rugged Notepad

Logan, Utah, USA – Juniper Systems is proud to announce that the Mesa Geo 3G Rugged Notepad™ is now available for shipment. In addition to all of the features available on the Mesa Geo model (Bluetooth® wireless technology, Wi-Fi®, GPS, and digital camera), the Mesa Geo 3G offers a 3G GSM cellular data modem which provides real-time wireless connectivity while working in the field. The Mesa Geo 3G recently completed PTCRB cellular network device certification, which ensures compliance within PTCRB operator networks.  The Mesa Geo 3G is available to ship both domestically and internationally.

“The Mesa Rugged Notepad™ has all the advantages of a handheld, plus the advantages of a tablet PC, without the disadvantages of either,” said David Dean, President of Electronic Data Solutions. The Mesa is the world’s first Juniper Rugged™ notepad, featuring the biggest screen available on a Windows Mobile® rugged handheld computer. In addition to the large 5.7 inch active viewing display, the Mesa’s compact and lightweight design provides the comfortable feel of a handheld computer.

As mentioned, the Mesa Rugged Notepad™ is available in three models: Standard, Geo, & Geo 3G. The Standard Mesa features Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® wireless technology, while the Geo model adds 2-5 meter accuracy GPS and a 3.2MP camera enhanced with Juniper Geotagging™ (the ability to embed and emboss photos with date, time and GPS position). The Geo 3G model includes camera, GPS, and a 3G GSM data modem for increased speed and connectivity capabilities. The Mesa is available in U.S. and international versions of each model.

Like other Juniper Systems rugged handheld computers, the Mesa is built to survive the toughest environments. It’s built to IP67 standards, making it fully waterproof and dustproof, and tested to MIL-STD-810G standards for water, humidity, sand and dust, vibration, altitude, shock, and temperature. Its rugged magnesium and plastic chassis protects the Mesa from up to four foot drops onto concrete.
