Worth Avenue Multi Million Dollar Makeover
November 23, 2010 – Engenuity Group, Inc., a full service civil engineering and land surveying firm located in West Palm Beach, recently completed work on the $15.8 million dollar renovation to Palm Beach’s exclusive Worth Avenue.
The project which was slated for two years beginning in April 2010, was completed ahead of schedule in virtually one “off season”, on November 23, 2010. Under the direction of general contractor, Burkhardt Construction of West Palm Beach, and Engenuity crew leader, Mark Jankovich, the team performed layout of all new and revised infrastructure. Additionally the staff provided surveying services for all new roadways including the addition of a new 25 foot clock tower, living wall, and decorative fountains.
The previous Worth Avenue four lane roadway was reduced to two lanes, to accommodate new aesthetics and bring the streetscape back to its original blueprint in the early 1900’s under Addison Mizner’s imaginative design.
“We are proud to be involved in a signature project such as this one. To say that time was of the essence on this project, would be an understatement. This project has given the avenue an atmosphere that will be remembered by all visitors, ” states C. Andre Rayman, Engenuity Group, Inc., President.
