RETTEW Welcomes Hershey

Focus Includes Working with Natural Gas Clients 

Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, recently welcomed Daniel S. Hershey, PE, as a project manager in the firm’s environmental engineering group.    

“Dan’s experience in water and wastewater treatment is a great asset to our firm and the many clients who rely on his area of expertise to successfully execute their projects,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president, RETTEW. “I welcome Dan to RETTEW.” 

As a project manager in the environmental engineering group, Hershey oversees engineering and consulting services relating to water resource management and wastewater treatment. He designs high pressure pump stations, distribution systems and surface water intakes for RETTEW’s natural gas clients. He also provides budget oversight and administration, enforces quality assurance standards, builds and maintains client relationships and coaches and mentors staff.

Having worked in both the public and private sectors, Hershey has more than 15 years of experience in municipal engineering; water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and permitting; water management and conservation plans; drainage, sewer, and stormwater management; hydrology and hydraulic studies; erosion and sedimentation control; technical specifications writing; construction; and project management.

Hershey received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995. He is a member of the American Water Works Association; the American Society of Civil Engineers; American Public Works Association, Lancaster Chapter; Water Environment Federation; Pennsylvania Association of Sewage Enforcement Officers and Toastmasters International. He resides in Lititz, Lancaster County, and is involved in the Lititz Youth Soccer Club.
