Merrick Retained by Ventura Refining & Transmission

Aurora, CO – Oct. 5, 2010 – Merrick & Company (www.merrick.com) has been selected by Ventura Refining & Transmission, LLP, of Oklahoma City, OK, to estimate the cost to complete the naphtha desulfurizer (NDS)/reformer project located at its Thomas, OK facility.  In undertaking this project, Ventura will expand its capabilities and have the capacity to upgrade crude naphtha to finished gasoline at the plant.  Ventura is a sweet crude refining company that produces a variety of finished refined fuels and refinery intermediate streams.

Merrick will also provide a conceptual design package to revamp the existing prefractionator column to recover light ends to the refinery fuel gas system and improve fractionation performance for improved yields.  A budget quality estimate will be provided for inclusion in the refinery capital budget program.
