Esri Releases Free ArcGIS Viewer for Flex 2.1

Allows Easy Creation of Mapping Apps without Programming

Redlands, California—October 1, 2010—Esri’s newly released ArcGIS Viewer for Flex is a free, ready-to-deploy application for ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online services. Built with ArcGIS API for Flex version 2.1, it is designed for developers that want to customize the appearance, functionality, and content of their mapping applications without the need for programming.

ArcGIS Viewer for Flex includes a variety of widgets that provide much of the essential geographic information system (GIS) client functionality needed to quickly create Web mapping applications. Most of these widgets have an XML configuration file that enables them to be easily customized.
