Bowyer-Singleton Announces the Award of Three Transportation Projects

Orlando, Fla. (August 13, 2010) – Bowyer-Singleton, one of Florida’s leading civil engineering and surveying firms, was recently awarded the following three transpotation projects:

State Road 528 Airport Toll Plaza Conversion Project
Preliminary engineering and final design services for the SR 528 Airport Toll Plaza Conversion Project by the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority. The project consists of replacing the mainline plaza with a new split-plaza configuration, equipped with both cash and express lanes.  Services include Roadway Design, Bridge Design, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing & Pavement Marking and Surveying. This project has an 18-month schedule, with notice to proceed in August 2010. Bowyer-Singleton’s management team for the SR 528 project includes Kevin Knudsen, Project Manager, Don Hammack, Assistant Project Manager, and Dan Christie, Senior Roadway Engineer. 

Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) Project
Preliminary engineering and final design services for the Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. This milling and resurfacing project extends from MP 17.4 to MP 37.3, approximately 20 miles, in Pasco County. Services include an evaluation of the existing roadway conditions, Roadway Design, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing & Pavement Marking and Surveying. This project has a 10½-month schedule, with notice to proceed in August 2010.  Bowyer-Singleton’s management team for the Suncoast Parkway project includes Don Hammack, Project Manager, Vu Vu, Assistant Project Manager, and Dan Christie, Senior Roadway Engineer.

State Road 10 (US 90) Over Camp Branch Project
Preliminary engineering and final design services for SR 10 (US 90) over Camp Branch by the Florida Department of Transportation, District Three. The project consists of replacing the existing 5-span, 165-foot bridge over Camp Branch in Holmes County. Services include Roadway Design, Bridge Design, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing & Pavement Marking, Surveying and Permitting. The project has a 24-month schedule, with notice to proceed in August 2010. Bowyer-Singleton’s management team for the SR 10 project includes Don Hammack, Project Manager, and Craig Noon, Senior Structural Engineer.
