Survey & Engineering GIS Summit Saturday Plenary Session

Summit Expo and Reception

Directly following the Survey & Engineering GIS Summit Plenary Session, the Summit EXPO opens with a reception for attendees to mingle and network as they visit with vendors to learn about the latest industry technology being applied in the field and in the office.   

       Hands-on Learning Lab at the Summit
Sunday, Jul 11, 3:15PM – 4:30PM  Location: Room 10 
This room will be dedicated to a Hands-On Learning Lab is open to all Summit attendees for an opportunity to learn more about GIS. You’ll receive approximately 45 minutes of training per lesson, consisting of a recorded lecture and a hands-on software exercise. A few of the topics to choose from include: Introduction to ArcGIS Desktop, Working with CAD Data in ArcGIS, Creating a Map in ArcGIS, and Working with Coordinate Systems. No special registration for the Learning Lab is required, this is included in your registration.

Survey & Engineering GIS Summit Closing Session
Sunday, Jul 11, 4:30PM – 5:00PM  Location: Room 8 
The Survey & Engineering GIS Summit integrates with the ESRI User Conference Monday and Tuesday.  This meeting is dedicated to gather all summit attendees one last time to discuss hot topics, conference feedback, and where to steer the conference for next year.  This don’t miss meeting will include a major announcement for 2011.  The hosted Summit Reception is held directly afterwards on the West Terrace.

ESRI UC Plenary Session 

Map Gallery Opening and Evening Reception
Monday, Jul 12, 4:00PM – 8:30PM  Location: Sail Area 
The Map Gallery opens with an evening reception on Monday, July 13. The posters in the Map Gallery communicate GIS project work in many application areas. Viewing the posters during the reception provides the opportunity to interact with the participating project teams. This week-long event begins Monday evening and continues until Thursday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m.

Join our discussion of surveying issues related to GIS. Important topics will be presented by the Geographic and Land Information Society (GLIS). Discussion topics will include organization updates, GLIS affiliate memberships for state organizations and invitation for GIS chair members, the ACSM National Conference and much more. This meeting is an open group created for anyone interested in surveying, engineering, and GIS. This lunch time event is sponsored by Dewberry.

ESRI Federal Reception Tuesday, Jul 13, 6:30PM – 9:30PM  Location: Sapphire Terrace, Sapphire West Foyer  The hosted Federal Reception is a prestigious and well recognized evening event. Cadastral/Land Records SIG Meeting
