Indianapolis – (June 8, 2010) – The Schneider Corporation (http://www.schneidercorp.com), a provider of creative solutions for land, infrastructure and facilities projects that help increase revenue, lower costs and mitigate risk, has appointed Karl Browning president.
Browning succeeds David J. Adams, a member of The Schneider Corporation board, who was appointed interim president and COO in December 2008, and is maintaining his position on the board.
Adams was tasked with guiding the company through a turbulent time for the construction industry and allied businesses related to the economic recession. “Over the past 18 months, we have taken steps to ensure that The Schneider Corporation is profitable and positively positioned,” said Adams. “The time is right to transition to a permanent president to continue the momentum.”
“We are extremely grateful to David for his guidance,” said Victoria Schneider Temple, CEO and chairman of The Schneider Corporation. “We value his leadership and look forward to Karl’s stewardship to further our growth.”
Browning joined Schneider in March as COO after working as commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) where he served in Governor Mitch Daniels’ cabinet.
