Los Angeles, CA (April 27, 2010) – Psomas is pleased to announce the appointments of Adam Foster, John Hovland and Patick McGarrity as Associates of the Firm.
Adam Foster, PLS (right) is a project manager and field supervisor for the Northern California survey team, managing up to six field crews. During his 11-year career with Psomas, he has covered all aspects of surveying for federal, state, county, and city projects, as well as private residential and commercial development. Foster’s project background includes ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, construction staking, right-of-way mapping, boundary analysis and private land development.
A resident of Sacramento, Foster holds a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Fresno in surveying engineering.
John Hovland, PLS (left) is a senior project surveyor with 15 years of experience in utility surveys, right-of-way base mapping, legal descriptions, Records of Survey, and volume calculations. He has more than 20 years of prior experience in oil and gas pipeline design, mapping, and facility records, and has established expertise in pipeline alignments and as-built surveys.
Currently residing in San Jose, Hovland received an Associate of Science degree in Engineering, Surveying and Mapping from Rancho Santiago College in California.
Patrick McGarrity, RLS, CP (right) is a Survey Team Leader in the Psomas Tucson office. With nearly 30 years of experience in photogrammetry and surveying, he has been a key player in the firm’s growth and success in this field. McGarrity oversees all projects involving photogrammetric products and services. McGarrity’s project experience ranges from small mapping and surveying jobs to large, county-wide GIS and cadastral mapping projects.
McGarrity is the current President of the Sahuaro Chapter of the Arizona Professional Surveyors Association, and resides in Tucson.
