Elmwood Park, NJ (March 8, 2010) – Langan Engineering & Environmental Services announced today that Karl Pehnke, one of the region’s most respected and accomplished transportation and traffic engineers, has joined the firm as an Associate. Pehnke, formerly a Principal and Director of the Transportation Division of CMX, has nearly 25 years of extensive traffic engineering, parking and transportation planning experience throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

Pehnke joins an experienced group of traffic engineers and transportation planners, including Daniel Disario, Senior Associate, Bill Lothian, Senior Associate, and Gregory Del Rio, Associate. Pehnke’s expertise includes traffic engineering studies, transportation planning studies, parking studies and functional layout, interchange justification studies, traffic demand management, and township, city, and county circulation studies. He is also regarded for his ability to provide compelling presentations and testimony to build public consensus for controversial projects.
