Houston, TX – February 22, 2010 – Wendell “Buddy” Barnes, President of Montgomery & Barnes, Inc., a Houston based civil engineering and consulting services firm, is pleased to announce that Grace Y. Cervin RPLS has been named Vice President Survey.
Cervin has more than 24 years of land surveying management experience working in multi-disciplined services for public agencies, private land developers, and commercial developers. As Vice President Survey, she will continue to be responsible for client relationships, the execution of survey contracts, management of the survey office and field personnel, quality control and review of projects for the company.

Prior to joining Montgomery & Associates, Cervin worked with Benchmark Engineering, TxDOT, the City of Houston, and the Metropolitan Transit Authority. She has provided a wide range of services including Land Title Survey & Easements, ALTA/ACSM Surveys, GPS Control Surveys, Platting, Design and Construction Surveys, Right of Way Mapping, and Aerial Mapping.
Cervin holds multiple certifications including her Computer Information Systems Certification, GIS Analyst Certification, and Eminent Domain Certification. She is also a GIS Certified Technician.
Cervin is a member of Texas Professional Land Surveyors, the Geographic Information and Technology Association (GITA), and the Urban and Regional Information System Association (URISA). She also serves on the Advisory Board of Education-GIS for Fort Bend Independent School District, the Board of Directors-GIS for Houston Community College and the Advisory Board of Education-GIS/Surveying for the University of Houston.
