Lancaster, Pa. — RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, land development, planning and surveying services, recently promoted Robert M. Lauriello, PE; Yves E. Pollart, PE, BCEE; and Lonnie R. Young to vice presidents of the firm. Lauriello, Pollart and Young previously served as directors of civil/municipal and transportation engineering, environmental engineering and environmental sciences, respectively.
“All three of these gentleman have successfully broadened RETTEW’s service offerings in an effort to better serve clients, capitalize on emerging and growing markets and provide unique professional development opportunities for our staff,” said George W. As vice presidents, Lauriello, Pollart and Young are responsible for furthering RETTEW’s external collaboration and relationship-building with clients and business partners. They will maintain high levels of client contact and identify ways RETTEW can leverage its resources and strategically broaden the firm’s portfolio of services to increase client satisfaction. Additionally, they are charged with professional development of staff; specifically, they will mentor and coach project managers on effective client relationship management. They will also identify areas of expertise that RETTEW will look to develop or acquire to meet present and future needs in a wide variety of markets.
Robert M. Lauriello, PE
Lauriello (right) serves as vice president of civil/municipal and transportation engineering. He is responsible for formulating strategies for the future direction and growth of the transportation, structural, planning, community development and civil and municipal groups. He is an 11-year RETTEW veteran, has 16 years of experience and is a shareholder of the firm. A Penn State University graduate, he is a member of the board of directors for the West Shore Chamber of Commerce (WSCC) and chairs WSCC’s transportation committee. He is a registered professional engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia.
Yves E. Pollart, PE, BCEE
Pollart (left) serves as vice president of environmental engineering, a department comprising studies, designs and reviews of water treatment and storage facilities; air quality; acid mine drainage studies and remediation; wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems; and fluids management and flowback treatment systems that enable environmentally responsible natural gas exploration in the Marcellus Shale play. He has 30 years of experience, is a shareholder of the firm and member of the board of directors. Pollart is a registered PE in 10 states, a board-certified environmental engineer through the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and holds both a wastewater and water operator’s license. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a master’s of engineering in environmental pollution control from Penn State University. Pollart is secretary of Susquehanna Township Authority, past president of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association and previously a member of the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association.
Lonnie R. Young
Young (right) serves as vice president of environmental sciences and is responsible for fostering business development and setting the strategic direction for the firm’s group of environmental scientists, biologists, geologists and archaeologists. He has 23 years of experience, is a shareholder of the firm and graduate of Shippensburg University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geo-environmental sciences. Young is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals, the National Association of Environmental Professionals, the Society of Wetland Scientists, and serves on the environmental subcommittee of the American Council of Engineering Companies and as a technical advisor to the Capital Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area Council.
