Trimble Navigation Ltd. said Thursday it acquired the assets of Pondera Engineers LLC, an engineering and development company focused on siting, designing and maintaining high-voltage power transmission and distribution lines.
Sunnyvale-based Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) did not disclose terms of the deal.
Post Falls, Idaho-based Pondera provides software and design services for electric transmission line system operators, engineers, contractors and vertically integrated utilities.
"The acquisition of Pondera will enable Trimble to provide additional capabilities for creating infrastructure models that leverage design information across the complete utility asset lifecycle," the company said.
