Houston, TX – November 9, 2009 – Wendell “Buddy” Barnes, President of Montgomery & Associates, Inc., a Houston based civil engineering and consulting services firm, is pleased to announce that Russell Henderson has been named Project Manager and Field Surveyor for the Surveying Department at Montgomery & Associates, Inc.
In his new position, Mr. Henderson assists the Survey Manager in establishing the cost of services. He manages individual survey assignments, establishes project schedules, allocates internal resources and provides supervision over the production and finalization of the survey work.
“We are excited to welcome Russell to our firm,” said Barnes. “His extensive surveying experience makes him the perfect candidate for this position, and he will be a valuable addition to Montgomery & Associates.”
Mr. Henderson has over 25 years experience in surveying the Houston area. Prior to his position as Project Surveyor and Field Manager, he worked on projects with the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife Nature Center, the Texas Department of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District and Galveston District, and Zachry Construction.
Mr. Henderson received his certification as a Senior Party Chief by the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors in 1994 and earned his Surveyor in Training Certification after completing courses in Surveying and AutoCAD at Houston Community College and North Harris Montgomery Community College. He is a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
Mr. Henderson is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors – Gulf Coast Chapter.
