Tampa, Fla. – Wade Trim – a leading civil engineering firm – recently hired Larry Josephson, PE, as Florida Transportation Market Segment Manager.
In his new role, Larry will be responsible for overall operations and business development of Wade Trim’s Transportation Group in Florida. Prior to joining the firm, Larry was employed by HDR Engineering in Tampa, Fla. where he was Senior Project Manager/Municipal Marketing Manager. His 31 years of highway engineering experience spans all phases of project development, design and construction. His expertise includes design and preparation of construction plans for major roadway projects including rural and urban expressways and arterial highways, minor roadways, intersection improvements, widening and resurfacing projects and drainage design. Larry also has extensive experience with post design services and roadway construction observation and management.
Larry’s knowledge of local, state and federal transportation standards and procedures encompass geometric design, surface water management, environmental permitting processes and right-of-way acquisition. He has resolved numerous complex issues and design challenges including engineering and planning of corridor and alignment analyses, complex horizontal and vertical geometrics for expressway and arterial roads, major intersection improvements, development of innovative maintenance of traffic schemes, surface water management design and permitting, and utility conflicts resolution.
His leadership talents are being utilized on a diverse client base throughout the State of Florida at state, county, and local levels. He is currently involved in projects such as the management of post design services for Manatee County’s 17th East and West projects and is performing quality control reviews for FDOT District 1 and 7 projects (CR578 from Mariner Boulevard to the Suncoast Parkway and US 27 from Barry Road to the Lake County Line). In addition, he is assisting in preparing final plans for several municipal design projects in Hillsborough and Manatee Counties.
