Sheboygan, WI – Aero-Metric, Inc. announced that Bob Richards, Jr. has joined the firm as the National Director of Program Management.
Mr. Richards brings a wealth of expertise and professional project management insight to Aero-Metric. His domestic and international experience in program and asset management on surveying, photogrammetric, and GIS related project and the ability to solve complex business problems were elements that attracted Aero-Metric to bring him board.
Prior to joining Aero-Metric, Mr. Richards was employed by Fugro Pelagos, Inc. where he served in a number of functional, managerial, and executive roles. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ACEC), the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS), The Hydrographic Society of America, the Marine Technology Society, and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Mr. Richards graduated with a degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University where he also earned his commission as an officer in the United States Navy. During his 6 years in the Navy, Mr. Richards gained significant experience in managing survey projects for ports, harbors and safe navigation purposes. His private sector experience includes developing and managing innovative seafloor mapping solutions utilizing the latest multibeam, LiDAR, and GIS technologies. Mr. Richards is also a Professional Civil Engineer with significant experience in underwater engineering challenges.
