Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, recently promoted David E. Hoglund, PE, to group manager of bridge engineering and Daniel A. Rogers, PE, to senior bridge engineer. Hoglund and Rogers work in the firm’s transportation group.

David E. Hoglund, PE
As manager of bridge engineering within RETTEW’s transportation group, Hoglund oversees bridge engineering operations and serves as technical advisor, coach and mentor to the firm’s bridge engineers and designers. He is also responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring projects are managed to meet budget parameters and scheduled deadlines. Prior to his becoming group manager, Hoglund was a project manager and designed transportation-related structures and performed hydrology and hydraulic analysis of bridge project sites.
Hoglund has more than ten years of cumulative experience in structural design, highway design and municipal engineering; his experience includes PennDOT, Turnpike and local bridge projects. Hoglund is president of the Association of Bridge Construction and Design (ABCD), Susquehanna Chapter, has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State University and resides in Lititz, Lancaster County, Pa.
Daniel A. Rogers, PE
As senior bridge engineer, Rogers is responsible for coordinating and supervising the design, investigation and construction of bridge projects for both private- and public-sector clients. He provides technical expertise on all bridge projects, develops design and drafting standards and coordinates with subconsultants and clients from preliminary design through final construction.
Rogers has more than eight years of experience performing engineering work in design, investigation, and construction of bridge and bridge-related projects in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. His expertise includes all phases of bridge and structural design for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, local bridge projects and bridge contractors. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Geneva College and resides in Mountville, Lancaster County, Pa.
