(West Palm Beach, Florida – December 3, 2008) Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) is pleased to offer the latest technology in hydrographic surveying. While our professionals have long been recognized in their expertise with hydrographic work, WGI recently placed HYPACK MAX data acquisition processing software, an ODOM ET-CV100 single frequency Echo Sounder, and a narrow beam transducer into service. This equipment allows WGI to provide hydrographic surveying capabilities in water depths ranging from 2 feet to 650 feet of water. Linked with our Topcon dual frequency (with Glonass) DGPS system and conventional land surveying techniques, WGI hydrographic surveys now provide accurate and seamless topographic maps from any ground surface to the maximum depths of inshore and most offshore project sites.
The HYPACK software is one of the most widely used hydrographic surveying packages, with over 3,000 users worldwide. This software provides WGI with the capability of processing single frequency, dual frequency, multi-beam, and sidescan sonar data all from the same computer platform. Our associates will now be able to design the survey, collect data, and generate final deliverables for a variety of bathymetric applications. Unlike previous models, the Echotrac CV100 provides “all digital” output, allowing data collection on a system laptop PC and eliminating the need for paper charts.
The equipment is extremely portable and is mounted on a Jon boats for projects that require shallow depths and easy access, and on larger craft for projects in rivers, lakes, and estuaries, or for offshore applications.
