2009 Sessions Feature Smart Grid, Green GIS, Imagery, Web, And More
Aurora, Colo., Nov. 12, 2008—The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) is very pleased to announce that an expanded slate of topics will be covered in more than 100 sessions during GITA’s 2009 Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference, April 19-22, 2009, in Tampa, Fla.
The new Call for Presentations process for the event was very successful, bringing in a wide array of new speakers and topics.
“These sessions are full of need-to-know content that geospatial practitioners cannot afford to miss—especially with today’s economic climate and state of the infrastructure,” said Kecia Pierce, the conference’s 2009 committee chair and industry manager at Intergraph Corporation. “We were extremely pleased with the quality of the submissions addressing key industry issues such as Smart Grid, aging infrastructure, and interdependency collaboration and emergency response.”
Details are also now available for the conference’s 11 preconference Knowledge Immersion seminars, user forums, panel discussions, networking socials, and a 100,000-square-foot product and services exhibition.
Online registration and GITA’s room block are now open. Registration fees start at $379. Exhibits-only passes are $25. Visit www.gita.org/gis or contact GITA at 303-337-0513, e-mail info@gita.org, for more information.
