RETTEW Selects Miller for Business Development in Environmental Engineering and Municipal Markets

Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, a comprehensive engineering, planning and environmental consulting firm serving the mid-Atlantic region, recently hired Timothy J. Miller, PE, to boost business development in the firm’s environmental engineering and municipal markets in central and south-central Pennsylvania.

In his role, Miller will focus on developing RETTEW’s various business sectors, primarily the municipal and environmental engineering markets, in the firm’s central and south-central Pennsylvania regions, which include Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lebanon, Lancaster, Mifflin, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and York counties. 

Miller is a professional engineer with 23 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant design and stormwater collection, conveyance and treatment systems design. He is also well versed in industrial wastewater treatment and tank systems permitting and operating, previously having served as engineer of record/sewer authority engineer for various Pennsylvania municipalities and municipal authorities, respectively.

Prior to joining RETTEW, Miller presided over an oil purification company that recycled used oil into fuel used in industrial facilities. In addition to managing day-to-day operations for the firm, Miller was responsible for obtaining DEP permits necessary to ensure compliance with state regulations. Miller’s experience also includes serving as president of a full-service environmental consulting firm based in Harrisburg, Pa, where his design and construction experience increased visibility of the firm’s remediation and tank installation services.

Miller holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. A Mechanicsburg, Pa., resident, he coaches freshmen football for Trinity High School, Camp Hill, Pa., and boys’ lacrosse for Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse Club.
