Livermore, CA — Steve Briggs has been named Topcon Positioning Systems’ (TPS) national sales manager-GIS and OEM.
Briggs joined TPS in 2004 as a product manager for network software. Prior to the recent promotion, he was TPS sales manager for networks and OEM. Before joining Topcon he was GIS business development manager and marine/infrastructure sales manager for Trimble Navigation.
In addition to his broad-based manufacturing experience, Briggs has been a land surveyor in four states and has worked in sales and technical support at the distribution level.
Briggs is active in many industry professional associations including the International Association of Geodesy, the Institute of Navigation and the American Association for Geodetic Surveying, where he currently serves as president.
