LizardTech Updates Educational Licensing Program

Bundle includes GeoExpress 7 and Express Server 6

Seattle, Wash. — March 25, 2008 — LizardTech, a division of Celartem, Inc., and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing digital content, has updated its Educational Licensing program to include the latest versions of GeoExpress for compression and manipulation and Express Server for high-performance delivery and publication software. Students and faculty of higher education institutions now have the opportunity to use LizardTech’s latest geospatial technology in a research/teaching environment.

With the Educational Licensing program, students and faculty will be able to take advantage of the robust toolset available in GeoExpress 7, and see firsthand how easy it is to manipulate, compress and view massive geospatial imagery.  To further promote research and learning LizardTech is also including Express Server 6, enabling students and faculty to rapidly deliver images across the Internet and make them available to other research and student populations around the world. In addition, for the first time, students will be able to see first hand how GeoExpress streamlines workflows even more by enabling them to encode and publish imagery directly to Express Server, a brand new feature available with the release of GeoExpress 7. This program offers two educational licensing bundle packages.

The first LizardTech Educational License bundle includes three GeoExpress 7 floating licenses with a 3TB networked data cartridge and Express Server 6 with unlimited concurrent access licenses. With this bundle, the first year of support/maintenance is required at $1,999. For years two and further, the annual support/maintenance fee will be $1,999/year.

The second LizardTech Educational License bundle includes 10 GeoExpress 7 floating licenses with a 10TB networked cartridge and Express Server 6 with unlimited concurrent access licenses. The first year of support/maintenance is required at $2,999. For years two and further, the annual support/maintenance fee will be $2,999/year.

The software is provided at no cost to educational institution as a right-to-use license. The license is valid for one year from date of purchase and will be renewed on an annual basis upon receipt of payment for technical support/maintenance.
