Aurora, Colo., Feb. 14, 2008—The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced a new $49 discount for the 2008 Geospatial Technology Report (GTR). This year’s edition represents a 58% increase in organizations participating in the report since 2005. The $49 discount will only be available on-site at GITA’s Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference (www.gita.org/gis), slated for March 9-12, 2008, in Seattle, Wash.
The 2008 GTR is set to publish in February 2008, and boasts a record-breaking 467 user company participants—that’s an increase from 386 in the 2006-2007 report and 294 in 2005.
To take advantage of the $49 discount, GTR purchasers must attend GITA’s 2008 Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference and fill out a special on-site order form. The $49 is a 16% discount off the member price of $299 and 11% off the nonmember price of $449. Members will pay $250, and nonmembers will pay $400. The report is provided free of charge to user organizations that participated in the GTR survey. The 2008 Geospatial Technology Report addresses geospatial projects in six infrastructure markets: electric, gas, water, pipeline, telecommunication, and public sector agencies. Information in each industry section focuses on landbase accuracy, sophistication, maintenance cycles, application usage, and interfaces, as well as the top 10 applications and technologies.
