Surdex Corporation, of Chesterfield, Mo., and Ascent GIS of Spokane, Wash., recently formed a strategic business alliance. Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly pursue work in the Northwest United States, focusing on photogrammetric and LiDAR mapping projects, as well as value-added services in geographic information services and geospatial data.
“This formalizes a relationship that has demonstrated its benefits for the last two years,” said Ron Hoffmann, president of Surdex. “The local knowledge of the Northwest provided by Ascent GIS further leverages our presence in this geographic region. The synergy and complementary services of the two companies has been outstanding, and we look forward to a bright future.”
Russ Martin, president of Ascent GIS, said that the relationship with Surdex has already allowed Ascent GIS to add to its portfolio and will allow the company to diversify its business model. “We are truly excited to be associated with a top-notch mapping organization with an interest in our own backyard,” said Martin.
