RETTEW Strengthens Survey Operations in Central PA Region

Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, a multidiscipline engineering, planning, land development, environmental consulting and surveying firm, recently hired Gregory N. Wengert, PLS, to oversee survey operations in the firm’s Chambersburg, Pa., office and announced today that Craig West, project manager in the firm’s Camp Hill, Pa., office, has earned his licensure as a professional land surveyor (PLS) from the commonwealth.   

“Newcomer Greg Wengert brings a wealth of surveying expertise to RETTEW and will assist us in better serving clients in Franklin County and the surrounding region, while Craig West has demonstrated his surveying expertise by earning his PLS,” said Mark Lauriello, president, RETTEW. “We are proud to have both of these fine professionals working at RETTEW.” With more than 50 surveying employees, RETTEW provides clients with one of the largest surveying corps in the Northeast. Last year the firm’s surveying revenues totaled $6 million.

Gregory N. Wengert, PLS
As a project manager in RETTEW’s survey group, Wengert manages survey staff in the firm’s Chambersburg office and provides quality assurance and control for other surveying staff’s projects. Additionally, he is responsible for preparing survey-related proposals and building and maintaining client relationships, as well as generating additional survey work in Franklin County and the surrounding region.

A professional land surveyor with more than 28 years of experience, Wengert’s expertise encompasses a wide range of surveying services, including boundary, topographic, control and ALTA surveys; highway and bridge design surveys; and commercial, residential and highway construction stakeout. Wengert has an associate’s degree in surveying technology from Penn State University and is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors (PSLS) and the Penn State Alumni Association. He resides in Shippensburg, Franklin County, Pa.

Craig R. West, PLS
West is a project manager in RETTEW’s survey group in the firm’s Camp Hill, Pa., office, responsible for managing the workflow between RETTEW’s survey field staff and office personnel to ensure maximum quality and efficiency. With more than 12 years of experience in field data reduction, site layout, and final plan preparation for surveying and engineering projects, West also prepares survey-related proposals, final plans and monitors existing survey projects. He is experienced in boundary, topographic, construction stakeout and ALTA surveys for government, commercial and residential clients.

West is a member of the Adams County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, PSLS and the Gettysburg-Adams County Area Chamber of Commerce. He resides in East Berlin, Adams County, Pa.
