Reston, VA, June 20, 2007 – John M. Palatiello & Associates, Inc. (JMP&A, www.jmpa.us), an association management and public affairs consulting firm specializing in the professional services market, has announced the appointment of Nick Palatiello to the position of Marketing Communications Manager.
"Nick brings a fresh knowledge of membership, marketing and media relation to our staff in this new role," said John Palatiello, JMP&A President. "His primary responsibilities will include media relations, marketing, communications and membership development. He will work closely with JMP&A clients, including the members of the Management Association of Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS, www.mapps.org) and the Council on Federal Procurement of Architectural/Engineering Services (COFPAES, www.cofpaes.org), and will focus on new member development and marketing."
Nick comes to JMP&A after serving as the athletic marketing and promotions assistant at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In that position, he worked with corporate sponsors, alumni and students in event marketing and management. Nick is a 2006 graduate of Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with an emphasis in corporate communications and minored in political science. While at Elon, Nick was a reporter and sports editor for the Elon student newspaper, The Pendulum, a founder of the "Phoenix Phanatics," an award-winning student booster organization to stimulate interest in the university’s athletic programs, and a founder of the Elon chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Nick has served internships in the U.S. Congress with Representative Tom Davis (R-VA) and the late Senator Craig Thomas (R-WY).
