(Norcross, Ga., 12 March 2007) Leica Geosystems, Inc. has announced the appointment of Southern Photo, Inc. as a dealer for 2D and 3D machine automation.
Based in Greensboro, with seven additional offices and retail locations, Southern Photo’s sales region encompasses the entire state of North Carolina. Since 1945, the independently-owned company has sold construction and survey equipment, drafting equipment, plotters and supplies. In addition to machine automation products, Southern Photo will market Leica Geosystems’ construction lasers and levels.
“Southern Photo has been in the business for over 60 years with a strong customer base built off their reputation for excellent service, support and selling quality products,” said Bob Flynn, machine automation sales manager, Leica Geosystems, Inc. “The market trend is moving away from land survey construction staking to an automated stake-less machine control. For that reason, Southern Photo wanted to continue their great reputation with quality products and services for their customer and has chosen Leica Geosystems to help them lead the way.”
Mike Dermatas, president of Southern Photo added, “We are excited about our new partnership. Leica Geosystems is a respected name in the industry, synonymous with quality and precision.”
