Norwood, MA AND Williamsburg, VA – September 20, 2006 – GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., one of the area’s leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firms, has announced that Thomas Numbers has joined the company as Senior Project Manager and will head the new Williamsburg, VA office.
Numbers brings close to 30 years of industry experience to GZA. He is a former EPA regulator and has extensive experience in providing engineering consulting services to the public and private sectors, particularly in soil/groundwater hazardous waste remediation and water/wastewater treatment. He has extensive experience managing large projects through all aspects of design, installation, startup, onsite training and regulatory negotiations. He has published numerous technical papers and conducted short courses on treatment system operation, underground storage tank compliance, environmental audits and hazardous waste management.
Numbers earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and is a member of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers, a member of the Academy of Environmental Engineers and a member of the Society of Military Engineers. He is a registered professional engineer in three states.
The Williamsburg office will offer services to government agencies and firms in the private sector. The office will offer environmental and geotechnical services including remediation, Phase II, property acquisition and marine engineering. The new Williamsburg office is located at 3005 Margaret Jones Lane.
