Livermore, CA– A new updated software release for TopNET CORS and TopNET RTK networking software has been announced by Topcon Positioning Systems.
New features and additional functionality of Version 6.02 of the TopNET CORS software include:
• New meteorological devices supported (Paroscientific MET 3/3A Sensor)
• With additional capabilities in the download center, the software enables the combining of multiple files for a day’s work into a single, daily file (RINEX). This gives the customer the ability to download separate hourly files or one combined 24 hour file for the entire day.

He said, “Combining the power of G3 technology; (GPS, GLONASS, and the future Galileo systems) gives Topcon users a decided advantage with one integrated network hardware and software solution.”
The TopNET RTK module includes the TopNET CORS functions along with these new features:
• RTK correction data in the RTCM 3.0 and CMR+ formats
• Ntrip caster distribution to network users. (Ntrip is Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol.) This protocol is currently supported in TopSURV field collection software. The addition of this protocol within TopNET will add security and the ability for network operators to create authentication with specific user name and password protection.
Topcon customers can upgrade all modules of TopNET software via an Option Authorization File that can be delivered by email, this eliminates the need to switch or upgrade hardware security devices such as USB or serial port dongles as with other systems.
