Graduate students win $ 2,000 for geodetic work
Livermore, CA –Columbus, Ohio — Ohio State University doctoral students Tae-Suk Bae and Chang-Ki Hong were the recipients of the first annual 2006 Topcon Positioning Systems Student Award. Each student received $2,000 and a certificate.
The awards were established to recognize research achievements of OSU Geodetic Science graduate students. Bae and Hong were honored for their “exceptional achievements in graduate research
in the art and science of satellite navigation and geodetic surveying.”
About the award, Dr. Dorota Brzezinska, associate professor in Geodetic Science chair, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science, said, “Topcon is the recognized innovative trend-setter in the industry.
