Centennial, Colo., 31 July 2006 – CompassTools Inc., a provider of GIS field data collection tools, is pleased to announce that Trimble has doubled the size of the U.S. sales territory in which CompassTools is certified to sell Trimble Mapping and GIS products. To manage the new sales territory, CompassTools welcomes Del Stewart, a long-time GIS industry sales professional, who will open a new CompassTools sales office in Minneapolis, Minn.
As a Trimble Dealer covering Colorado and New Mexico for more than 10 years, CompassTools resells, support and provides training for the full line of mapping-grade GPS equipment and GIS software offered by Trimble. The expanded CompassTools sales region includes Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, and the El Paso, Texas, area. Colorado and New Mexico remain part of the CompassTools territory.

Stewart comes to CompassTools after serving as a regional sales manager for Laser Technology Inc., a leading provider of laser range-finding devices. Prior to joining Laser Technology, Stewart sold Trimble GPS, mapping/GIS and survey products for more than seven years. He also served as Secretary of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM).
