Jacksonville, FL — March 23, 2006 — Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers hired Darron Pustam as its Technology Director, the company reported. Pustam brings 16 years of technological experience to his position.
As Technology Solutions Director, Pustam is responsible for developing and maintaining the Clary Business Intelligence System — intelligent and scalable, enterprise-wide solutions that support Clary & Associates’ business and technical needs, as well as the company’s continuous rapid growth. Pustam’s duties include: gathering and analyzing current business processes; analyzing current and future technology; creating, implementing and managing new business software applications; and creating central and linked sources for the dissemination of related company project information.

Prior to joining Clary & Associates, Pustam was a GIS analyst for AMI, Inc., a subsidiary of Clary & Associates, Inc. He was part of the team responsible for mapping out St. Marys to modernize the city with its own comprehensive GIS. Pustam also served as a senior analyst/programmer and lead CAD designer for Petrotrin, Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. He is a recipient of the ESRI Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award earned by Petrotrin’s 2002 GIS team.
A native of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, Pustam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from American Coastline University. His studies also include computer-aided drafting, as well as specialized training in a variety of business processes and software applications. He received certification in geographic and land information systems management from the University of West Indies.
