Jacksonville, FL — March 16, 2006 — Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers has been nominated by its employees for the 2006 “Best Places to Work” in Northeast Florida competition. Sponsored by the Jacksonville Business Journal, the competition was open to companies based in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, Flagler and Putnam counties. Company nominations closed on January 31.

On April 27th, the Jacksonville Business Journal will host an awards program to recognize companies boasting the best workplaces in Northeast Florida. Private and public companies, as well as government and nonprofit agencies, were invited to participate in the competition, which included employee surveys tabulated by Quantum Market Research — a specialist in measuring workplace satisfaction.
Employee survey categories included: Team Effectiveness; Alignment with Goals; Individual Contribution; Trust in Senior Leaders; Feeling Valued; People Practices; Retention Risk; Trust with Co-workers; Manager Effectiveness and Work Engagement.
Categories for the competition include: Top Small Businesses (10 to 99 area employees); Top Medium-Sized Businesses (100 to 499 area employees); and Top Large Businesses (500 or more area employees).
From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, the top 10 finalists in each category will be announced at an awards luncheon at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel in Downtown. Winners also will be announced in the host publication.
