2006 Integrating GIS & CAMA Conference Highlights Announced

November 30, 2005 (Park Ridge, IL) – URISA and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) are pleased to announce several highlights of the tenth annual Integrating GIS & CAMA Conference, taking place February 19-22, 2006 in Orlando, Florida. This milestone event is themed, “Delivering Solutions: A Decade of Integrating Dreams & Technology”. The conference, jointly sponsored by URISA and the IAAO, has successfully brought together assessment and GIS professionals for education and networking for the past ten years.

• Four pre-conference workshops will be presented on the Sunday, February 19. GIS For Assessment, Public Data, Public Access, Privacy, and Security: U.S. Law and Policy, Introduction to Valuation and Spatial Analysis, and Project Management From Start to Finish will provide intense education for conference attendees.
• The keynote address will be delivered by Roger Berry, CIO for Walt Disney Theme Parks and Resorts.
• Twenty 90-minute sessions will be presented during the three-day event on topics ranging from “Using Oblique Aerial Photography for Mass Appraisal” to • “Land Records Transformation, Multipurpose Cadastre and Re-engineering Structures, Systems and Processes.”
• A special ten-year retrospective luncheon will explore the developments in GIS & CAMA integration and a number of activities will celebrate the longevity and success of this annual conference.
• A panel discussion will look at “Perspectives on Proposed National Standard PINs, Parcel Maps and Property Data.”
The closing plenary session will celebrate the successes of the Boulder County (CO) Assessor’s Office and its GIS-Centric Appraisal Environment.
• GIS & CAMA vendors will fill the exhibit hall and some will also present special evening vendor workshops: ESRI, Colorado CustomWare, Manatron, CriticalControl Solutions, Orion Technology, and Tyler Technologies-Eagle Division.
