Olathe, Kansas, U.S.A. — POINT, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Shigeyuki Sawaguchi to the position of Vice President of Business Development, effective December 1, 2005. His primary role within the POINT organization will involve developing strategic plans for future SOKKIA GPS products.
Sawaguchi is currently the General Manager of Marketing and Product Planning for SOKKIA Co., Ltd. (Tokyo). He began his career at SOKKIA in 1980 and has held a number of senior management positions within the company’s Research and Development Group. In addition, Sawaguchi is a member of the Board of Directors for both POINT and AGL.
POINT, Inc. was formed in 1999 as a joint venture company of SOKKIA Co., Ltd. and NovAtel, Inc. The company develops and markets advanced GPS products for the surveying, mapping and construction industries and distributes them through SOKKIA’s worldwide distribution network.
