Sewall Hires Oracle Database Expert Joseph E. Brentano, Jr.

(Old Town, Maine—26 September 2005) James W. Sewall Company is pleased to announce that Joseph E. Brentano, Jr., has joined the company as Oracle Database Administrator. An expert in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, and ESRI ArcSDE, Mr. Brentano brings 21 years’ industry experience in GIS database administration and application development for major city government, state railroad, and business enterprise systems. In addition to Oracle, SQL Server 2000, and ArcSDE administration, he has designed, implemented, and maintained databases, developing functional and user interface requirements and user training documentation. He has also managed client-server, Internet, and GIS application development, supervising and training teams of software engineers on multiple projects for such organizations as Bechtel Nevada, the Alaska Railroad Corporation, the Municipality of Anchorage, and the City of Tacoma, Washington.

With a BS in computer science from the University of Kansas, Mr. Brentano has extensive training and expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, MS Access, and the ESRI Arc family of products.
