Jacksonville, FL — June 13, 2005 — Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers is pleased to announce the addition of Matt Jennings as the company’s newest Crew Chief. Jennings brings to his position more than 16 years of experience in the survey industry.
“I supervise a very talented field crew, as well as perform a variety of field work,” said Matt Jennings, crew chief for Clary & Associates. “It’s our job to make sure that our in-house technicians get all of the information they need in order to produce surveys and maps for our private and government sector clients. We collect a wealth of information that they use to create maps and surveys, such as: Determining utilities locations and property corners; gathering right-of-way and boundary information, and collecting topographical information. It’s a very interesting career.”
Arriving from South Carolina, Jennings quickly settled in Jacksonville nine months ago after accepting an offer to join Clary & Associates. As the son of a member of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Jennings is no stranger to traveling to new and exciting places. He attended the University of Georgia and has spent many years working his way up the ranks of the surveying and mapping industry.

Jennings also is the leader of another team — his family. He and his wife, Dawn, have been married for 12 years and enjoy spending quality time with their three children. Jennings is a member of Southpoint Community Church and previously served as a children’s pastor in South Carolina. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, comic books, off-roading in his Jeep, and redesigning his personal computer for optimum performance.
