Greenbelt, Maryland, 1 June 2005 — Dynamix Corp., an SBA 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business that specializes in providing computer, GIS and relocation services to federal government entities, has added two new full-time employees to its team. In 2005 the Dynamix Corp. team expanded to include Paul Namie and Hassan Ali to assist in providing GIS services to its customers.
Paul Namie, a graduate of Plattsburg State University in New York with a degree in Geography, is working on capturing features such as Private Right of Ways, Public Utility Easements and Land Ownership Parcels. Paul is also heavily involved in Quality Control functions. His work in this important area involves the use of a quality checklist designed to ensure that parcels include the correct street name, correct job number, city, and county names. These features are provided to Michael Baker Corporation, who in turn passes them along for use by SBC Corporation.
Paul recently became a resident of Laurel and found Dynamix through a previous contact with Manpower. His work began in January 2005 with an initial internship. The situation worked out so well, he was offered full-time employment in February 2005. Paul enjoys the geography aspect of the job: “The unique thing about this job is that I work for Dynamix Corporation, who provides this service to Michael Baker Corporation, who then provides the product to SBC Communications.”
Another new addition to the Dynamix GIS team as a Programmer/Analyst is Hassan Ali. This newly created position was a great fit for Hassan with his GIS degree from the University of Maryland and with an Associate degree in Computer Science from Ann Arundel Community College.
Hassan adds to the Dynamix team by building applications to help speed up the infrastructure mapping tools for the analysts. These tools help the analyst more easily determine a change in a visual display or visual interpretation. Hassan found the Dynamix Corp at Monster.com and is very excited about this new position.
