Fairfax County Offers Leading Engineering Firm Two Projects
Chantilly, VA — Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd., the fastest-growing engineering firm in the mid-Atlantic region, was recently awarded contracts from the Fairfax County Park Authority and the Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services to provide civil engineering services.
The Fairfax County Park Authority awarded Bowman a three-year contract for the planning and site design of various recreational facilities and parks within the Fairfax County park system. Bowman will evaluate property acquired by the local parks and recreation department and present site-specific design solutions for the location and construction of athletic fields and facilities.
The Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services Stormwater Planning Division awarded Bowman a three-year contract to provide civil engineering services for the Little Hunting Creek watershed management plan. This plan will provide strategies to improve stream water quality, reduce stream velocities and bank erosion, improve stream habitat and reduce road, house and yard flooding in the Little Hunting Creek watershed.
