The Board of Directors of Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. is pleased to announce a management transition in which David T. Gockel, P.E. will continue as President, a position he assumed in January 2004, and George P. Kelley, P.E. will take on the role of Chairman of the Board in January 2005. This phase of the firm’s management transition has been underway for the past 4 years and will enable the firm to continue providing excellence in engineering and environmental services for its clients under the direction of its Principals and Associates.
Gockel, as President, will be assuming the leadership responsibilities previously held by Bernard Langan, who founded the firm in 1970 and stepped down in December 2004 as part of the planned transition. Bernie will continue to practice as B.F. Langan Consultants, LLC and will work with Langan Engineering personnel on special projects. The firm has created a scholarship, in Langan’s name, for engineering students who have exhibited technical excellence in their engineering curriculum.
Gockel and Kelley will be assisted in managing the firm by the other Principals, George E. Derrick, P.E., Michael A. Semeraro, P.E., Nicholas DeRose, P.G., Andrew J. Ciancia, P.E. and George E. Leventis, P.E., and the new Principals Rudolph Frizzi, P.E. and Ronald Fuerst, C.L.A.
