Jacksonville, FL — January 4, 2004 — Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers is pleased to welcome John Thomas to the company, and as the newest addition to its team of project managers.
Having joined Clary & Associates in early August, Thomas brings to his position more than 16 years of hands-on experience in the industry. As Project Manager, Thomas is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Clary survey crews in the company’s government and private-sector divisions. In addition, he prepares survey crews for assignments by providing them with scope-of-work outlines and relevant data collected from a wide variety of sources, including previous maps and monumentation.
“John brings an impressive skill set to the company,” Greg Clary, founder and president of Clary & Associates, said. “He remains interested in all aspects of land surveying and mapping, and that kind of passion is not only rewarding to our company, but to John as an individual. Prior to joining Clary and Associates, Thomas worked as a field operations manager, a crew chief, and as the director of a safety program. His representative projects include: Fuller Warren Bridge, World Golf Village, Dames Point Bridge, Castaway Island, Jacksonville International Airport, Jacksonville’s Main Library, the Jacksonville Transportation Center and more.

A native of Upstate New York, Thomas has made Florida his home since 1988. He enjoys saltwater fishing, sports and taking family vacations to the beach. He and his wife, Kristen, have three children.
