KIRKLAND, Wash –Customers of Nextel Partners, Inc. (Nasdaq:NXTP), the exclusive provider of Nextel digital wireless communications services in the mid-sized and rural markets it serves, can now track projects, time and even billing with their mobile phones with service from GPS TimeTrack, a mobile-phone, GPS-based workforce management application created by Xora Inc.
GPS TimeTrack will significantly enhance the mobile employee management services offered by Nextel Partners, enabling companies to better locate and manage field employees via their Nextel mobile phones.
With GPS TimeTrack, work orders, as well as shift and break times, can be recorded and tracked through the employee’s Nextel cellular phone. In addition, real-time reports for scheduled jobs per worker, hours spent on each work order, and maps that track the location, speed and driving habits of every user can be viewed through the system.
"GPS TimeTrack helps take the guesswork out of workforce management, helping ensure smart use of resources, increased efficiency and better customer service," said Nextel Partners’ Chairman, CEO and President, John Chapple. "Our industry-leading GPS applications help our customers utilize the best technology available to get the job done."
In addition to mobile workforce management solutions, GPS TimeTrack lets businesses automate data transfer to payroll and billing systems, enforce driver speed and stop time policies, and distribute new jobs and work orders to employees already in the field, resulting in rapid service delivery. The new service extends location-enhanced wireless services currently offered by Nextel Partners.
"The coupling of GPS and smart mobile applications in cellular phones is a great boost to business productivity," said Ananth Rani, Vice President, Products and Services, of Xora. "Our technology helps businesses get the job done faster, with more efficient and cost-effective management of the mobile workforce," added Rani.
