San Diego, CA – The Forester Creek Improvements Project in Santee, California, will be receiving a 2009 Project of the Year Award at the annual American Public Works Association (APWA) National Congress this September.
PBS&J was the prime construction management company on this $25-million project, which included the realignment and widening of a one-mile stretch of Forester Creek, numerous complex utility installations and relocations, the demolition of one obsolete bridge, construction of a brand new bridge, and widening of a bridge carrying a major city thoroughfare. PBS&J provided construction inspection and contract management services, all designed and administered in accordance with Caltrans Standard Specifications and Standard Plans.
