Exhibit Floor 92% Sold With Three Months To Go
Aurora, Colo., June 12, 2008—The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced that online registration is now open for its 17th Annual GIS for Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition, set for Sept. 21-24, 2008, at the Marriott Westchase Hotel in Houston, Texas. Attendees can register for the event at GITA’s Web site, www.gita.org/oilgas.
The conference is the only event of its kind, devoted exclusively to geospatial applications and technologies for all aspects of the oil and gas industry. A day was added to the conference to accommodate two more half-day seminars (for a total of six), and special introductory discounts are being offered for Sunday seminars. Attendees can also choose from a series of paper presentations, the largest exhibit floor devoted to geospatial oil and gas solutions, special presentations and networking receptions, and much more.
"This program content is the best I’ve seen yet. With the two added seminars and new programming for expanding markets, I’m looking forward to another record-breaking year for this event," said Cindi Salas, 2008 GIS for Oil & Gas Conference Chair and Manager, Geographic Information Services, at CenterPoint Energy.
Attendees can take advantage of an early discount by registering for the conference before Aug. 29, 2008. Full-conference registration for the event, which includes admission to all paper presentations, social functions, the exhibition hall, indicated meal functions, as well as a copy of the conference proceedings, is $495 for GITA members and $635 for nonmembers before Aug. 29. Seminars start at just $80.
Houston’s Marriott Westchase Hotel is offering special conference rates for attendees. Further information is available on GITA’s Web site, www.gita.org/oilgas.
